Hello COMMUNITY!

Background: My husband has his visa interivew approved.  He is waiting to pick up his visa/passport at Casablanca Aramex.

I am enquiring about the process and I am not sure what the response means?

It says:

"Your passport is still with post."

Which of the two things does it mean?

  • It is still at the immigration officer's desk and not mailed?
    • OR
  • Is it AT Aramex
  •

Your response would be greatly appreciated.

The word 'Post' in the context of US Visa stamping passport tracking means 'US Consulate' or 'US Embassy'. When the status says 'Transit to post' they are literally saying 'Transit to the US Consulate' or 'Transit to the US Embassy'.Jul 24, 2024

you can also track it if the CEAC site issued

Thank you!  Also do you know how long it takes from approval date to Aramex?

Reading on here  from other posts, it varies but Aramex has yet to receive it

when visa is issued , u can contact the Aramex office (say a week later) and ask or go to the office itself if its close enough

When all this happens , please let us know and write it in timeline as it helps others and VJ'ers like to say congratulations

Any updates? did you pick up your passport already?

Good news:

After once week, we went by ARAMEX on a hunch.  Lo and Behold, it is THERE.

What happened:

Interview on 29th of Nov.

Monday December 2nd, it said "ISSUED"

So we called Aramex.  They said, "NOT HERE"

We sent email daily to

passportstatus@ustraveldocs.com

for updates.  Immediately response was, "Your passport is still with post".

Our intuition became so strong.  By December 5th, I told him to GO there anyway and check.  Husband travels from Ourazazate to Casablanca early that morning on the 6th of December.

As he was outside of Aramex, he called the number.  They all said same thing, "Not here yet".... But when he walked in the door and showed his ID, they promptly found his passport with ir-1 visa and gave it to him without any apologies or hassles.  Their reply was, "We get so many everyday, it's hard to track all of them".

Bottom line, he is COMING !
