Hello.

We're trying to submit I-130 form

Does anyone know if I can translate by myself or need a professional translation? about this↓(My name, address)

"If the beneficiary's native written language does not use Roman letters, upload a document with his or her name and foreign address in their native written language."

  • If your documents are in a foreign language, upload a full English translation and the translator's certification with each original document.

If I can translate by myself,what do I need,write?

If I need professional translation, what do I need?

There's nothing prohibiting your or somebody you know to translate, as long as they know both English and your native language.

Saying that, online translation services are pretty affordable nowadays. I'd pay somebody $20-50 who translates documents professionally. They have all necessary templates for digital documents, they know how to properly translate all the terms, stamps in documents etc etc.

It means what it says.  On a word file or other word processor type your name and address using your native writing system or alphabet (probably a good idea to include an English version side-by-side even though that already exists earlier in the I130) save it as a PDF and upload it. As to the file requirements, any file you need to submit for evidence (not including the native language specific document) that is not in English has to be translated and you can do the translation yourself (search the web for a self-translation attestation).

Good Luck!

The I-130 instructions are clear on what constitutes a "certified translation" and what the translator "certifies" about the translation.  If you aren't an instruction reading following kind of person, hire somebody who is.  You'll be glad you did.
