Hello VJ!

Does anyone know the current process to get an NBI clearance for travel to the US? Is this something that you're supposed to make a regular multi-purpose appointment for and then ask for verbally for travel to US purposes?

On the NBI website we don't see this an an option, no matter what we select the receipt says "multi-purpose." My wife's parents already have the multi-purpose one, so we're trying to get another more recent one with the correct verbiage/color or whatever is needed.

I keep finding conflicting information.

Thank you!

They only issue "Multi-Purpose" NBI checks now. That is what was on Jaycel's NBI Clearance form and the Embassy accepted it with no questions.

Multi Purpose NBI Clearance is live now! Yes, you’ve heard it right. That means a multi purpose NBI Clearance can be used for any transactions that is required both local and also in abroad. Just like the old NBI Clearance, the multi purpose NBI Clearance is still valid for one (1) year with a fee of Php115 per copy.
