I-864 For AOS

Hi everyone,  I was just wondering in filing out the form 864 for AOS. Should we put my married last name as beneficiary or my maiden last name ?

As a K1? 

Are you using your new married name moving forward in life? 

 

If yes, your legal name IS your married name. Inputting your new name is HOW you "change" your name on paper as an immigrant.

 

If no, and you choose to remain known as your maiden name and have not elected to take a new name, your legal name is your maiden name.

 

Of course, you always list previous names as asked as well.

A blank timeline helps no one (and in your case, can even cause confusion because your post doesn't state you are a K1 and could easily have been placed in the wrong forum. Use the same name you used as the beneficiary on the I485.  We did.
