Aloha kakou,

After a minor RFE, we received our NOA2 dated 11/13. I am doing research about what to do/what happens next. I am seeing conflicting information. My friend John who is providing moral and logistical support says some things have changed since he went thru this. And I think my research is reflecting this.

Can some kind soul point Dina and I to a definitive resource as to what we should be doing now and what we should be preparing for?

Mahalo,

Next would be to wait about a month to get the NVC case number.  Once you have it, you can check status. When it shows ready, pay fees and schedule the interview, then the medical at st Luke's

Those are concepts. I need details. I need websites, form numbers and lists. The information here regarding assembling the packet was so perfect. I can't imagine how it could have been more complete. I am finding that at this stage, that same level of detail is difficult to find.

You will get all the information you need from your consulate by email. At least, I did. I will attach the files they sent me. This is of course for the Amsterdam Consulate, but I am going to assume yours will not differ as much. I received this even before my NOA, even though the NOA said I'd receive it about 30 days AFTER.

Hope it helps.

You didn't detail what the RFE was for, and what you responded with. I went through an RFE myself. One it's recieved, it's out of your hands.

There's no further advice at this point than to wait.

I've seen this. Can I assume that even if the document is 5 years old, it's still accurate and relevant?

Time frames are longer now .. but yes it is as accurate as a general guide can be. Each consulate has its own format for doing things once they receive your case .. how to contact, when how to schedule the  medical , how to pay , how to schedule the interview etc .. so the directions really can’t be as detailed as you would like them to be. Read through the guide , follow the link, lurk on and search  the Phillipines subforum , come back with specific questions as you have then.

I think some people in this thread are misunderstanding the question; the RFE has already been resolved and they have received their NOA2.

Because things are done a little differently in Manila, I second looking at the Philippines subforum to get a better understanding of the next steps. This thread from a few months ago talks through required documents for a K-1 interview in Manila:
