I married my now wife Through an online marriage on Utah State, she is Brazilian and right after our marriage we filed an I30 petition for her and her younger daughter. I have been waiting for 8 months now and everything has gone silent, the USCIS site says is taking longer than expecting, the petition for my step daughter went to Vermont and her MOM my wife to Texas. Would you guys be so kind to point me towards resources or guidance, if you have any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

I hope you mean I-130 and you mean petitions, e.g. one for spouse and one for daughter. How old is the daughter?

I-130 petitions take about 14-15 months nowadays, so you potentially have another 6-8 months ahead without news. Could be faster, could be slower.

You make no mention of visiting your wife in person after or during the Utah Marriage.  If you did not do that, withdraw those two petitions, go visit her and file again.  Without evidence of being together during or after the legal proxy marriage, BEFORE filing the I-130s, they will be denied.

If you did "consummate" and provide evidence of being together after or during, then be advised that you filed into a year or more long black hole.  Nothing at all is happening except movement up the line.  Details matter.  Use this time to do your homework on the rest of the process.

she is 7 and yes I submitted two I-130. I suppose I am growing desperate due to the long wait.
