Hi everyone

i I recently saw in another post that someone was able to get their interview scheduled after they submitted additional documents on the USCIS online platform in relation to their n-400 application. I understand that they added a document and the next day an interview was scheduled.
I submitted my application in June and the current status is actively reviewing. The estimate of time is now saying that your application is taking longer than expected.

I was wondering if your application is flagged with USCIS officer if you submit further supporting documents (without RFE) and the schedule an interview because they see you are outside of their estimated processing time.

any thoughts on this would be appreciated!

I did that, too, and for me it didn't lead to an interview being scheduled. However, I did see that my "updatedattimestamp" was updated two days after I uploaded my documents. So maybe someone looked at my case? Filed in May and still waiting.

@oneoftheunderdogs: How/where did you check the "updatedattimestamp"?

Update: Thanks to Reddit, here are the instructions on how to check if your case has been updated recently. What that "update" means is anyone's guess, however.

1. Log in to your USCIS account

2. Copy your receipt number

2. On the same browser tab, paste this link on the address bar and press enter:

https://my.uscis.gov/account/case-service/api/cases/ReplaceWithYourCaseNumber

Replace the last part with your case number.

Note: It doesn't work if the case your looking at doesn't have any electronic documents scanned.

I'd think any change such as uploading evidence would result in update date rewritten.

Yep, you're right! My timestamp initially updated when I uploaded my evidence. But then it updated again two days later, presumably because someone looked at it? No way to know for sure, obviously...

No way of knowing for sure... Maybe it gets updated when case status changes... Maybe when somebody looking. Maybe when internal system scans attachments for viruses and give green light. It's a black box. Did you have a status change?

Nope, no status change. I am not putting too much stock into that tool, just another thing to obsessively check haha
