I am planning to visit my home country (India) for first-time H1B visa stamping. While filling out the DS-160 form and Visa portal questions, I was confused about a few questions on previous passport and visa:

  1. “Has your visa ever been stolen?”
  2. “Has your visa ever been cancelled or revoked?”
  3. “Have you ever lost a passport or had one stolen?”
  4. “Was your most recent U.S. visa lost, stolen, canceled, revoked, or marked CWOP?”

My situation is a bit weird. 2 years ago I thought I had lost my passport while traveling locally in the US. That passport had my F1 visa. To apply for a new one I had to file a police report. I received the new one, and it mentions that the previous one is “reported as lost”. I used this new passport for successfully applying to H1B - change of status from F1. Note that this new passport doesn’t have any visa stamps yet. After a while, I then also found the old passport somewhere in my home i.e. it was never really lost or stolen. I am unsure how to accurately answer the above 4 questions since I still have my previous passport and previous visa.
