Hello! My fiancé is to have his interview next week. All our paperwork is ready but I have a few questions.

1. for the affidavit of support if I am taking full responsibility in supporting him financially does he have to sign the beneficiary part?

2. Has anyone gone through the interview process and if so how was it?

3. Do they tell you that day that you got approved?

4. How long does it take to get your passport back with the visa?

Thank you!

Hi. Can you please share how long the entire process took from day 1 you filed until the interview?

I'm also from Pakistani origin and It was an arranged engagement through family. We met, however we don't have photos together and engagement was cultural where my parents were with her but not me. Not sure if this will raise red flags. Any help will be appreciated.

What proof do you have that you were together though? Passport stamps only prove that you were in the same country, not that you were meeting in person.

Proof of engagement pictures where her and my family are present. Chat history, it's just we don't have pictures together. We got everything else

That's your family, not you. What did you for question 53 on your I-129f? Did you say no and request an exemption?

That is a traditional arranged engagement by two families which is common in Pakistan. I haven't filed for I129F yet. trying to accumulate as much information as I can before I file. Can you please explain what is an exemption?

Something you do not qualify for.

Better to marry and file the I 130

You still need proof of being together in person, which it doesn't sound as though you have yet. An exemption isn't likely to be relevant but I wondered if you were trying for that.

I would wait until you've met again and have photos/proof, then file. Good luck.
