It seems like they still haven't gone back to the skipped range, even though there're some lucky ones got approved. I wonder when are they officially moving back to this range. Really getting anxious about it...

Honestly, I'm not optimistic. I see they've started working on September applications 😂

It's been way too long and unfair. They can't just leave that amount of cases unprocessed for so long. It's already been three months since they skipped it.

Of course it's unfair but we literally can't do anything about it. Tomorrow marks exactly 8 months since we filed and while others who filed a month earlier are already in the US we still haven't even heard from the USCIS and that's only the 1st step. We can only hope that sooner or later they'll start doing something with our range and try to keep our composure and emotional stability.

Also, anyone here who thinks it might be a good idea to contacts USCIS? As we're now soon surpassing the average processing time maybe we can do something or will they not do anything and we'll have to wait until July 1st which is the earliest we can contact them.

We each have a date after which we can contact them, it can be found on the website by entering the case number that came on your NOA1. I believe it is roughly 1 year from date of the NOA1.

Yeah. Mine is July 1st but just brainstorming if it would do anything for our cases if we were to contact them earlier. Like in a month or so if nothing happens by then. Or if we can contact our representatives after we surpass their average processing time which is pretty much right about now. Or do we have to wait July for that too.

Can't hurt to go on uscis.gov and open up the "Ask Emma" chat, ask for a liver agent and ask them if there is anything pending on your case because while it may not be outside normal processing times, it sure seems to be taking significantly longer than applications submitted around the time of yours. I did it on my I-129F about 8 months into the process and 6 days later I got an RFE (Completely warranted - I forgot to include a document).... Not saying that these two things are related but in a separate incident, about a month after we submitted my wife's AOS application and not having received a biometrics appointment where about 90% of the others in our Receipt Block had received one, we went on Ask Emma, live chatted an agent and asked if there was any issue with the application. Four days later, she got her biometrics appointment scheduled. Now, both times we received the boilerplate language, "Nothing is unusual about your wait time, each reviewing officer works differently", etc. I don't want to give anyone false hope that this will do anything for your cases, I'm just relaying my personal experiences with contacting USCIS.

Thank you for the advice Edward, much appreciated! We'll definitely consider doing that.

In other news 103 approved August applications yesterday. Only 3 in July and 2 in June 🤯

This is how estimated processing times are kept lower on USCIS website 🫠

If they truly processed everybody in order, they'd have to increase processing times by 3-6 months easily.
