Do I go to K1 interview in London with originals of petitioner’s documents or the scanned sent to me will be good enough?

Hi all. As the topic said, we are wondering if I need to go to my K1 interview in London with originals of petitioner’s documents or the scanned sent to me will be good enough? Especially divorce certificate (and also affidavit of support, tax returns).
If scanned copies are okay, do they need to be signed by petitioner?

Answers and suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.

For divorce decrees/certificates, Embassies usually want a certified copy or the original so that they can feel the raised seal. Make copies of these as well, as the Consular Officer may request copies after examining the original/certified copy. For the I-134, Declaration of Support, scanned copies emailed to the beneficiary and then printed out are generally accepted. Check your embassy's website for any specific requirements.

You'll be sent a document checklist when you have your interview booked - it will tell you what needs to be original and what doesn't.

We did copies of everything except my divorce decree - that I got a 2nd certified copy from the court (cost $2) and sent it over with him when he left to head back to the UK on his last visit.

I saw a review that said they were given a 221g for not having the certified copy of the divorce decree.

The checklist does say original or certified copy. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/LND-London.html#pre_interview_checklist
