Hey y'all

You're gonna think I'm crazy. I'm happy and sad at the same time. I got packet 4 . But interview is on June 21st. . Way too late. Because for certain reason I need to be in the USA sooner than that.

Is there a way to ask them to reschedule my interview on an earlier date? My USC fiancée wants to get her congressman involved at this point. Will this be helpful?

congrats on getting it! you can probably call the embassy and try to find out if you can get an interview sooner, but it is rare that they will do this. however it has happened. just give them a good enough reason.

You MAY be able to get them to give you an interview sooner if you can give them a good enough reason... I know somebody from France who got her interview much quicker because she lived in Paris - she told them she didn't need to make travel plans etc and asked for an interview ASAP and they gave her one in about three weeks instead of three months (they probably had an empty slot to fill...) It never hurts to try...

Be prepared to have a good reason, but it doesnt hurt to try..

Yeah, it doesn't hurt to ask but I wouldn't really expect it unless you have a REALLY good reason.
