My only question is does re-entry permit affects the spouse visa ? Or it can be done in parallel. And do you suggest to let her file for spoise visa while she is there or she can do it ourside US. And in addition we have war in lebanon does it make it easier and faster ?

It may do, as she has to show domicile as part of the spouse visa process, and that will be hard to do if she's not living in the US.

It won't be any quicker because you're in Lebanon. The only way for it to be quicker is if your wife were a US citizen, but her being outside of the US will mean that's a long way off. Can she not do her PhD in the US?

She can file an I-130 for you from anywhere in the world.  A re-entry permit will not likely affect that as long as she shows evidence of re-locating prior to your interview....which is years away. .

Spouses of Green Card Holders with I-130s submitted in January 2022 are just now getting available visa numbers per the Dec 2024 Visa Bulletin. That could slow down considerably in the future.

Ok thanks for the replies guys. We will see how it goes next week at the cbp once she arrives. Another question, we definetly need a sponsor. If she cant be my sponsor for this moment can we request a third party to sponsor me? She works anyway in lebanon and get salaries. Can she be my sponsor with that situation? She will also open a banking account there. What about getting her salaries and send money to that banking account to put moeny and make our ties to US stronger . What about that? Any suggestion ?

How long is your wife planning on staying in the US for after she arrives next week?

Yes, she can have a joint sponsor if she doesn't meet the financial requirement herself. Who is 'she' that works in Lebanon and 'gets salaries', is that your wife that you're referring to?

Yes m, “she” is my wife. And she will go like one month to do the biometrics of re-entry permit then she will return back to lebanon to finish her ohd then she will return to US permanently

OK.  What if the re-entry permit is denied?

If it's your wife, then a job in Lebanon is going to work against her for proving domicile, regardless of where she sends the money. But presumably she'll be back in the US long before you get your visa anyway, so hopefully it won't be an issue.

How long has she spent in the US since she entered on her immigrant visa? Can she not finish her PhD in the US?

She should file the I-130 for you asap, imo.  Get the process started.
