I just wanted to asked after getting married and my husband file for Form 1-130 and got a acknowledgement receipt of application, will he then file for Form -129F. If form I-129F is approve first before I-130, does it mean I-130 will be gone and they will just use form I-129F instead? why will we file for Form I-130 if we can jump in filling I-129F? If they invited me for interview after receiving I-129 F does it mean I can go to the US to live and work afterwards?

Waste of time to file I129f. The k3 visa is dead. Just file i130. You'll be a Green Card holder from day 1 of entry

If the I-129f gets approved before the I-130 (which will very likely not happen) you’ll still have to do the adjustment of status process in the US. This means that you won’t be able to work or leave the US until you have authorization. Huge downside of the K3, so I’d just stick to your I-130 if I were you because the CR1/IR1 would be a nicer start to your life in the US.

No.  That's the way it worked until 2006.  Now, they cancel the I-129F once they join the two. Only reason to file the second petition is to hope that when they join the two, they go ahead and approve the I-130 only.  The K3 visa has been virtually unavailable for more than a decade.

I haven't seen one in forever, but as far as I remember, K3 was a multi-entry visa expiring with an expiration date of 2ish years; some applicants really liked being able to be in the US as often as possible, and wrap up their lives abroad during that time.  Had a few quirks too, such as having to interview in the country where the marriage took place (or at the diplomatic mission designated for that country).

But OP will almost certainly receive a CR1/IR1, so K3 details being fuzzy isn't too important.

2 Year Multi Entry visa but must be 15 years plus since anyone on here got one.
