fyi.. had a infopass appointment today ... they stamped my passport .. should be good for me to travel .. even though I have my extension letter ...

immigration officer also reiterated that because of the fee increase earlier in the year that's what has held up all applications..

Did they also explain why TSC is straight out lying with their published processing times? I'd be thrilled to hear an answer to this... but I know I will likely never get one.

Did I ever mention that I start to get really sick reading those "piece-a-cake" we got approved in not time with minimal evidence through CSC memo posts?! :diablo: Makes you want to... well you know what. :girlwerewolf2xn:

Sorry for the venting.... I will go back in my corner now.

I'll look at my crystal ball again - to see if the theory changed - chances are... like always it's a new answer every day... kinda like calling the USCIS customer service line ;)

I love it how these boneheads explained that they needed a fee increase to reduce the backlog, and then the fee increase ends up creating even more of a backlog.

Did they confiscate your expired green card? I understood from other folks that when your passport is stamped, they make you cough up the green card.

Meh

Heh heh, I for one revel in your testiness because I secretly (well, maybe not so now) feel like doing this: :bonk:

Well, it's not their fault, it's USCIS, or TSC to be precise, but still . . . .

It's been almost 2 months since we got our Senator involved.

I am both concerned - and depressed - at the fact that despite this intervention, our application has not been touched since last May ('07).

What do you think is taking so long? Is this normal?

I honestly don't think there is anything normal at all anymore. With the TSC, normal is what we've all been going through. Furthermore, I don't even think they care about senator involvement. Think about how many apps they're processing now. Can you imagine how many senators and congressmen are involved - they probably are using the letters as kindling. I also would have to say that no news is probably good news. I have a feeling if you were going to get RFE'd it would have happened sooner.

I think it really is just a crapshoot now. I don't know how we got our's approved. I have a feeling they were playing darts and hit ours.

The day number in your signature coundown clock is more impressive: 273 days! 273 days of your petition just sitting there collecting dust, day after day after day.

I'm trying so stay chipper but after seeing the two folks who filed at the end of September get approved (transfered to CSC from NSC), I feel like throwing up. Late September! My God, their green cards haven't even expired yet.

I'm going to go bite the heads off some pigeons in the park across the street.
