We sent our app for removal of conditions to TSC on 7-30-07, did biometrics in september, and she just received the 10 year green card 10-30-07 with no interview, not bad considering she arrived on 11-1-05, TSC ROCKS!!!!:thumbs:

Rhoady

Do you point and laugh at the developmentally disabled, too?

Don't hate the player, hate the game. Maybe I got special treatment since I am from Texas?:P

Rhoady

On a side note, when she got here on a CR-1, it took 7 months before she got her green card :crying: . They said it was because there were no pictures in her file, although I think it got misplaced in LA.

Had nothing to do with that, but thanks for playing.

I wouldn't be bragging that you're from Texas in this thread. No offense, but Texas isn't exactly held in high esteem here.

At this point, I would bet over a year from NOA1. Texas is obviously not doing ANYTHING with I-751s and hasn't since June.

I received a letter in the mail yesterday from my senators office concerning my wife's I-751 status. Well here it is word for word:

From: TSC, Congressional Inquiries

Sent: Thursday, October 25, 2007 2:30 PM

To: Miller, Ash (Chambliss)

Subject: control (then a number) RE: (My wife's name)

Ash: The I 751 is currently still pending. It was filed 02/26/07 and they are still processing Jan 07.

Thank you for your inquiry and please do not hesitate to contact us again if you have further questions regarding this case.

Texas Service Center

Congressional Relations

There are a few things I can take away from this letter besides just the no real answers if offers.

1) My inquiry from the senators office was e-mailed to the TSC and not sent in the mail.

2) The respondent from the TSC had the e-mail address of my senators office saved within their outlook program. The identity was known as (Chambliss)

3) There is in fact a way to contact the TSC via e-mail.

Not going into detail.... but still processing Jan 07????!!!??? What a BS, it seems that each inquiry results in different processing times... and magically those are always a few days/weeks before the inquired case. I find it really worrying that TSC doesn't even report accurate processing times to members of congress - sad world....

Actually, I believe that is the most accurate response we've seen as far as processing times go.

It's not completely truthful response, however, because it neglects to mention that TSC STOPPED approving I-751s in June -- leaving off then with I-751s that had NOA1s of about the third week of January. They haven't moved an inch since.

So, yes, they are "still processing Jan. 07" -- and they've been "processing Jan. 07" for almost five months now.

Anyone ever wonder if there was a way we could submit an application to have our cases transfered to a different service center? At this point in the waiting game would you be willing to either:

A) Leave your application at the TSC and hope for the best (because you have already been waiting months)

or

B ) Move your application to another service center where you could be waiting anywhere between 4 to 6 months (6 months being the very most)

A real mind hugger huh?

This is my theory: TSC was assigned to work on processing US passports. I think TSC stopped processing applications around the same time there was a passport processing delay. That issue was resolved not by magic, but by assigning new resources to it. i751 is propably the most redundant form out there because i400 comes right after it.

That seems as rational an explanation as any. You have to wonder whey they just didn't make residency conditional for three years instead of two, with the option to either just remove conditions or naturalize after three years.

yes, probably a money issue - they milk anyone that's tangible....

Anyway, there is a good number of people who do not plan to naturalize. I for one will only naturalize if I can become a dual citizen, as this is rather a vague issue (as I have to apply for it with the German authorities with a good chance of getting denied), I might not even naturalize come next spring....

That is the only way I would become naturalized as well (and Jerry agrees with me on this).

Can someone refresh my memory and tell me (and the rest of us in this thread) when one needs to apply to renew the extension letter if it comes to that point for some of us?
