I'm nominating James as the Official TSC Losers Writer of Letters to Senators.

You'd think one of my senators, Mel Martinez, would be all over this since he is the only senator that is an immigrant (he came from Cuba when he was a young boy.) Unfortunately, he is apparently trying to keep a low profile on immigration issues because of all of the anti-immigrant hysteria in his party.

Anyway, I don't know what he'd do other than report back the purportedly actual processing time of (depending on who answers the phone at TSC) February 13 or February 26. Both of which are bogus because there are five TSC Losers who would have been approved if the former were accurate and HALF of us would have been approved if the latter were accurate.

I really have to join this club. I sent my petition(I-751) on aug 31, they've got it on sept 2nd and until now they even didn't cash the check....So, 2 days ago i decided to send again the pestition and they've got it this morning.....I also had an infopass appointment last friday and, sure, they couldn't stamp my passport cause i don't have a receipt.....I'm waiting still.....

Am i the biggest looser?

Sorry -- far from it! Did you know that petitions sent to TSC are now being transferred to CSC, and it can take over a month for them to cash your check (actually, it seems to take that amount of time for the petition to make it from TSC to CSC, which then more or less promptly cashes the check)? This does seem to be a bit longer than usual, but you still may have acted hastily in resending the petition to TSC (which will now take another month to send it to CSC).

The bottom line is only people who sent their petitions to TSC before July 1 -- which is when TSC started transferring them to TSC -- can be TSC Losers®, because we're still stuck waiting at TSC while the people who filed at TSC months after us have already been approved because their petitions were transferred to and processed by CSC. Even with this delay, you will still be approved far quicker than any of us genuine TSC Losers® will be . . . .

I'm sorry, i didn't know the bottom line....anyway i consider i'm totally unlucky.....i'm a looser....It's weird....there are people who sent the application after me and their check was cashed before me........I don't want anything else in this moment, just to clear that check:((

Btw, are you alowed to work in US if your GC expired? How long after you applied for removing condition?

Good luck everybody!

My wife is also on the loser list... if you could add her. The only thing we remember is they received her I-751 petition on 2/9/07 and we already received the NOA and did the biometrics. The USCIS website says that the file was last updated 3/13/07.

But my question is this... was does the processing times form say:

Yup, it states on your NOA1 that you are authorized to work for another year. Ideally, you should receive your NOA1 before your green card expires. You still will probably receive it by that time even though you resubmitted your I-751 (though it may be close).

Congratulations

You are indeed a TSC Loser! That processing time is a baldfaced lie. TSC has told the inquiring office of one U.S. Senator that it is processing I-751s with an NOA1 date of February 13, and told the office of another Senator that it is processing I-751s with an NOA1 date of February 26. And that was as of Oct. 19.

So, either way, you would think you would have been heard something within the last couple of weeks. You would be wrong, however, because TSC is obviously misrepresenting processing times to anyone and everyone.

My best guess is that they are stuck sometime in late January. In late June, they approved some VJers with NOA1 dates of 1/19 and 1/22, and then stopped dead in their tracks, shipping all new I-751s that arrived to CSC. It's appalling to think that they have supposedly only moved three weeks in those last four months (and they really haven't done even that, else a bunch of folks -- including you -- would have heard something by now).

Oh, dwell away! I'm pretty sure they haven't even touched an I-751 since late June, except to add biometrics to the files. The evidence from the timelines and the list here is a little bit more than just anecdotal.

Well, i sent 2 applications but i never canceled the first check. I have to check my account every single day and when they will cash one of the checks i will cancel the other. The idea is that i lost my first post office receipt and i couldn't prove that i sent my application....It's odd what i did but i have my feelings and worries.....Anyway, somebody from immigration gave me this advice....it's good, it's bad....who knows....it's risky though, because i can loose money.

Good luck !

Who knows anymore? Somebody's got a light a fire under those lazy azzes there. When I get back from my trip, I will start having my Congressional Reps look into this disaster. It's plain ridiculous to allow the USCIS to effectively create various classes of citizens and applicants based solely on where in the US they happen to reside. The USCIS is a federal agency and owes equal service to all applicants regardless of their place of residence.

Hard to say from the few examples in the timelines -- the three people who filed for naturalization in February-March of this year did get interview dates five months after they filed. But those may have been processed before TSC hit whatever stumbling block it hit in June.

Maybe they will speed up again when they run out of Slim Jims, fried pork rinds, and cherry-flavored Dr. Pepper.
