When can my spouse apply for citizenship?

Hi

My wife and two children moved to the US as follow-to-join in 2019. As an asylee, I became a US citizen in May 2023, and my wife and two children (9 and 19) have been green card holders since July, 2021. I am wondring when we can apply for citizenshop for my daugher (19) and my wife. Can someone help me to answer few questions?

1. Since, I am a citizen should my wife wait for 5 years to apply for citizenship?  ( I have seen somewhere on the internet that if a spouse is a citizen, only 3 years are requirement, but i am not sure in this case).

2. I have already got citizenship certificate for my 9 year old son, but when I can we apply for a 19 year daughter?

3. My question now is for my wife and my daugher. When exactly can i apply?

Any response is appreciated!

You can check here, but she is not eligible as even though you have been married for 3 years (assuming this), you have not been a USC for more than 3 yrs.  They will probably be best to do a regular filing under the 5 yr rule.

Good Luck!

You must have been a US citizen for 3 years before your spouse can apply under the 3 year rule (spouse of a US citizen).

They both can apply under the 5 year rule in mid 2026.
