Hey everyone.

I hope you’re doing well. My friend last week had an interview for k1 visa and he took all the documents including his papers, tax and form I-134  and evidence of their relationship.

The consular officer asked him simple questions and he answered everything also too she saw some of the pictures with each other . But in the end she gave him Administrative Process and he didn't know what was wrong.

Please if Does anyone know what are solutions he can do to avoid getting stuck in AP for a long time please inform us and I appreciate it anyone share any information. Thank you so much in advance.

There is nothing he can do but wait it out I'm afraid.

Administrative Processing cannot be waivered or expedited.  Only thing he can do is to wait it out.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

No. AP cannot be expedited, no matter who asks.

He could file a Writ of Mandamus but too early to do that and risky with a K1

Every case goes into AP

Did the CO keep the person's passport?   If so,  its in AP while they either do additional security checks or perhaps print the visa to add to passport

Did the CO indicate the outcome of the interview?

Did the CO ask for additional documents?

no,  a Senator can not help/  they have no say about an interview

you can pray for your friend

allah yessir

A member of Congress cannot speed up or stop administrative processing.

A Congressman or Senator's office can make an inquiry on where the case is at but often times the answer is only that it is in administrative processing.
