The service centers send the cases either to California or Vermont, depending on case loads, Texas and Nebraska receive but don't process the I-129F for Fiancee. They have not in well over a year now.

Being so early in the process you may want to Join and ask questions on "A Candle for Love", there is no better preparation for the process and interview at the Guangzhou consulate. http://candleforlove.com

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Not to worry - It is a good thing !

I had the same thing happening to me when I filed (2 years ago) to the TSC (Texas) they sent my file to California Center too. I think they process much faster so you are in good shape !

Chanchan

Faster? Not lately. All petitions are now being sent to either Vermont or CSC. The other centers are forwarding for the next 30 days since the BIG change on July 30th. After August 30th, they will be sent back to the petitioner if received by NSC/TSC.

They also restructured the "jurisdiction of the two centers, with Vermont taking on more states, and Cali getting fewer....about time.

As others have stated, this was normal. There were many changes that took place when they increased the processing fees on 30 July. One of them was a change in service centers handling K-1s. Most of those that were mailed, properly, to Nebraska were forwarded to California. This, of course, created a delay for many waiting their first NOA. Let's hope these increased fees and changes are for the positive to the petitioners and beneficaries, as well as the income statements of the government!

The USCIS has stated they will continue to forward petitions, "with the correct application fee", for 30 days (not 100% sure on the days) after that, they will be returned to the petitioner to do themselves.

Effective July 30, K1 petitions should be sent only to VSC or CSC. Where To Send.

Prior to July 30, petitions sent to Texas or Nebraska were forwarded to either CSC or VSC. Your NOA1 will tell you which service center is processing your petition.

If you sent your petition to the wrong service center, I believe they will be forwarded to the correct center. However, they will not continue doing this forever. If you have not filed yet, please make certain you are using the most recent version of the forms and following the most recent instructions. You can find the most recent forms here.

you really think the inreased fees will have any impct on timelines, haha. Probably all it means is a increase in personnel, and we all know what means when your talking about the fedral govt. Good luck with your application.
