Visa verbally approved, but CEAC status still says "Ready"?

Hello everyone,

I had my visa interview on September 30th, and during the interview, the consular officer told me my visa was approved. However, when I check the status on the CEAC portal, it still shows "Ready," and the last updated date keeps changing.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is it normal for the status to take time to update to "Issued"? Any experiences or advice would be really appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

Verbal approvals don’t hold any weight unfortunately. Yes, it is normal for it to take time as all applications have to go through administrative processing but some take longer than others and there is no standard timeline.
