Good Morning,

Our visa was finally issues for my wife. I am so happy but also confused about the next step. What I don't know is needs to be done after entering the US. ChatGPT says we just need to get a SSN and wait for her greencard. Is there any other paper work that I need to fill out?

Thanks

If you completed the DS 260 properly, the SS card will come around the same time as the green card, about a month after her arrival in the USA, as long as the new immigrant fee is already paid.  Next step is pay the new immigrant fee, then travel to the USA.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

How do I check if all the fees have been paid for. As far as  I know we paid for everything 2 years ago but I don't remember if we need to check anything else.

This is the green card fee which hasn’t been paid yet (this fee is only paid after the visa is issued).

Good Luck!
