Belly dancing videos

We're having a belly dancer at our post-wedding reception and I want to join in without feeling like an idiot. Does anyone know of any good instructional videos???

There are so many out there . . . some bad, some good, some down right awful!!! LOL, don't get me started!!!

If you just want to social dance for your wedding, then that is a bit different from getting a video that starts out very basic. So I don't think you want to get a video that is a workout style. I think Neon might have one about club dancing .. . and she does some really slick production stuff.

OK, check out all the vids she has for sale. This woman knows how to market herself. I have seen some of what she has and I like the way she presents it. Now as for the quality of instruction . . . better than most BUT not as good as me ( have been dancing over 20 years)!! LOL, but I am a short chubby older lady . . . no competition for Neon in a costume. Check out this link: Neon's Store . Note that there is one called Belly Dance Party DVD . . . sounds like something you might want to try and not too expensive at Amazon!!! $14.98. OHHHHHHHHHH, I just noticed that is has NETFLIX logo under it . . . so if you are signed up for Netflix you can try before you buy!

I know that Noura is a belly-dancer... she probably has some top choices that she could recommend. I also like the idea of belly-dancing at your wedding! How fun! Would love to see pics after the wedding!

Completely understand about AOS . . . will be heading that way soon too.

If you lived in Dallas, I'd tell you to come on over and we'd just put on some good Arabic music (I brought some back this time from Cairo as usual, LOL) . . . then I could show you some of the things to do. But also a good idea is to watch some of the Arabic music videos (not just Shakira, LOL . . . she does some really jerky moves which I don't recommend and there are better things to learn . . . it is not all about shaking your booty!!)
