Case assigned to the adjudicating officer

Hello,

I recently requested an expedite inquiry on my pending I-130 through my local Congressman. USCIS responded, stating that since the case is already with an adjudicating officer, expediting the case isn't possible.

How long does it typically take to receive a decision once a case is with an adjudicating officer? Do officers have any specific timeframe or metric for completing cases once assigned? Thanks!

If there is a timeframe I have never seen it mentioned. I would think it is highly unlikely there is.

@Boiler That's right—I couldn't find any information online either. Do you know how long it usually takes to receive a decision once a case is with the adjudicating officer?

Could be hours, could be months. There's too many variables.

Add around 12-14 months to filing date for estimate.
