Hi Everyone,

I finally was emailed back from Rio de Janeiro regarding DCF. Have a job offer to relocate my family back to US from Brazil. They asked me to submit a handful of docs and reason for needing this expedited service, to check if i qualify. I'm still waiting for response now going on 5 business days but fairly confident I will qualify. I'm a USC with Brazilian residents, wife is Brazilian w B1/2 Visa and our son is a USC dual Brazilian with passports. Married in the US 6 yrs ago and moved direct to Brazil after. Consular birth abroad in 2020 for our son. We own property and a home in Brazil. We are both artists in music and fine art.  It's becoming harder to make a living at this so accepted a corporate job in US. We had not planned to move back to US hence the rush to get her status adjusted.

Regarding the I-864, can I use/show income from a joint account from a US Credit Union I share with my father? I will also show income from my personal BofA although it does not maintain as quit a high balance as my joint account.  I feel i would need both for proof of income threshold to sponsor my wife.  Also, currently I work abroad as a touring musician in different countries and money gets wired in all sorts of manners through my booking agencies here in Brazil and US.  For this reason i have not filed taxes in US since 2022. Will this also pose any issues?  My wife has a business in Brazil and can show her bank records and income but will this change once we move? She plans on continuing to make art (textile artist) in the US but will most likely sell to international private clients through her Brazil bank account. Not sure if her current income would count for I-864? Any advice would be welcome and appreciated. Trying to keep my family together in this crazy world.
