EXCLUSIVE: Nearly a dozen of President-elect Donald Trump’s Cabinet nominees and other appointees tapped for the incoming administration were targeted Tuesday night with "violent, unAmerican threats to their lives and those who live with them," prompting a "swift" law enforcement response, Fox News Digital has learned. 
 

The "attacks ranged from bomb threats to ‘swatting,’" according to Trump-Vance transition spokeswoman and incoming White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt. Sources told Fox News Digital that John Racliffe, the nominee to be CIA director, Pete Hegseth, the nominee for secretary of defense, and Rep. Elise Stefanik, the nominee for UN ambassador, were among those targeted.

 

"Last night and this morning, several of President Trump’s Cabinet nominees and administration appointees were targeted in violent, unAmerican threats to their lives and those who live with them," she told Fox News Digital on Wednesday. "In response, law enforcement acted quickly to ensure the safety of those who were targeted. President Trump and the entire Transition team are grateful for their swift action."

You would be hard pressed to find a bar in Washington D.C. where you'd find a group of people as ideologically diverse as Donald Trump's cabinet.  He's got Tea Party veterans mingling with a Kennedy, a Teamsters ally, George Soros's "protege", and the former vice-chair of the Democratic Party.

And, yet, on the surface at least, D.C. is uncharacteristically calm.  Some anti-abortion groups are agitating about Trump's decision to nominate Robert F. Kennedy Jr to head up the Department of Health and Human Services, but on the Right, nothing inside the conservative movement resembles a "freak out" at all right now.

"It's the end of Trump Derangement Syndrome," says one insider, reflecting on the feverish resistance movement that sprang into action after the President-elect's 2016 win, creating an arms race for anti-Trump donor cash and media attention.  While there's some "grumbling" about Kennedy and Trump's pro-union pick for Labor Secretary, nobody wants to "step on the vibes", one senior activist tells me.  [...]

The appointment has been rumored ever since Donald Trump was reelected president of the United States, and on Saturday evening, he made it official:  "I am proud to announce," Trump wrote on Truth Social, "that Kashyap 'Kash' Patel will serve as the next Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation."  This is an extraordinary and highly significant appointment, as Patel has been a harsh critic of the far-left, highly politicized and deeply corrupt FBI.  A thoroughgoing housecleaning appears to be in the offing — unless the deep state that Patel will be targeting manages to defeat him in a head-on confrontation.

Kash Patel is the fumigator the FBI needs

 

President-elect Donald Trump chose Saturday night to announce that his long-time aide Kash Patel is his choice to be the next director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and for anyone interested in a good fumigation of the bureau, this is a cause for real optimism.

Before we get to the laundry list of FBI abuses that Patel would hopefully put an end to, let us first establish that this is a well-credentialed man who served at high levels in the first Trump administration.  This is not an influencer.

But Patel is somebody with a fresh set of eyes who has a chance to identify and cure the abuses of an FBI that has become too often an enemy, not a friend of liberty and freedom.

Trump's Wild Bunch Is Ready for Action

The Kash Patel nomination is making all the right people very nervous

Last night, Donald Trump announced that he was nominating Kash Patel to serve as FBI director.  Every person in America who believes in liberty and honest government should be celebrating that announcement.

 

The Obama and Biden administrations were responsible for so many pernicious policies that it's a bit hard to keep track.  However, one can easily argue that the worst thing that happened during their two presidencies was that they transformed the FBI from a law enforcement agency into the police arm of the Democrat party, which they then weaponized against ordinary Americans who hadn't broken the law but who had opposed Democrats.  [...]
