Visa journey approval estimate experience

Hello everyone, I hope you are all keeping well.

I was just chatting to my Fiancé about the emails I get from this forum with my approval estimate dates and wondered about other people experience with this.

I know it's an estimate but is there anyone on here that was getting those dates emailed that are now approved?

How close was it? What's your experience?

I'm only asking as mine ( estimate ) has moved forward by 7 weeks which is great.

I'm thinking about the time I'm going to need to sort out my life in the UK ( sort out work, my house that I own, sell my car etc) I know there's no certainty until I physically have my visa but it's good to have an idea of what will happen and when which I guess is the whole point in everyone sharing their timelines.

Thanks for taking the time to read my rambling thoughts.

Lesley

I was approved on October 28th. Here at visajourney my estimate was up to October 26th and then it was updated to many days later and then it was updated again to have no date and that was when my approval arrived. My fiancé paid for trackmyvisanow and there he got my estimate completely right: It was expected to happen from September 26th to November 1st. Now I'm waiting for the case to be sent to DOS. Good luck!!

Mine keeps being wrong in the email when I compare it to what I see on my timeline here. So I would not use it to plan too much, or get my hopes up. That being said that might also be because my consulate is not a very common one on the site, but we filed before you guys and it keeps telling me there is not enough data to give me a timeline.

Unfortunately, many people do not fill out their timelines which makes the prediction of the site more inaccurate. It's very hard to be accurate in any circumstance because USCIS sometimes gets up to strange antics such as skipping two entire weeks of submissions. Also, individual factors (background checks that take longer than usual to process, for example) have a big influence.

The predictions are far from perfect, but hey, it's something!

Reading is what? Fun-da-men-tal!

This forum gave me a 10-month approval estimate date for my I-129F (which wasn't bad compared to the USCIS website estimate of 12-14 months at the time), but I also followed/paid for TrackMyVisaNow's estimate similar to @Maria Emília's experience, which gave me an estimate of only 4 months (April 20, 2024), which I thought was unbelievable/unrealistic at the time, and it ended up being exactly that, almost to a T (my NOA2 ended up being April 18, 2024)! So they were only off by 2 days. So, 4-month I-129F approval from December 11, 2023 to April 18, 2024.
