I am in the process of obtaining a CR1 visa. In the NVC phase, I paid all fees and submitted all documents. I then submitted an Expedite Request to the NVC (before being DQ), which they forwarded to the Frankfurt Consulate, and it was approved within a day on November 4. I believe the next step is to make an appointment through USTravelDocs. However, I have not heard back from the Frankfurt Consulate yet, so I don’t know if my documents were approved or when I can enter their system to schedule an interview. I also haven’t received the Interview Letter yet.

Does anyone know when I can expect to hear back from the Frankfurt Consulate for an expedited case? And does anyone have insight on the timeline for an interview?

The actual pre-approval application took around two hours, and I completed it during Frankfurt business hours. I submitted the application on usvisascheduling as soon as the consulate contacted me to say they were ready to move forward with my case. It was exactly three weeks between the expedite approval and when they authorized me to start the pre-approval process.

Hi! Thank you very much for the reply. Do you mean when you applied in usvisascheduling for interview appointment pre-approval, the process was completed in the same day? does that mean you could book an appointment in the same day? My CR1 case is also an expedited interview case. I also logged in to ustraveldocs-usvisascheduling and applied for interview pre-approval in the same day I received instruction from the frankfurt consulate to do so. However, it's been 1 week, the case still shows 'open' in usvisascheduling. And I have not received any interview appointment neither do I have any option in my usvisaschedule profile to book an appointment. I wonder, have I done something wrong during the application? I noticed there was a comment option at the end of the application which I left blank. Could it be a factor? Thank you in advance for your response.
