Hello everyone,
I had my IR2 visa interview at the US Embassy in Senegal in October 2024. My father took a DNA test and the results were sent to the embassy. However, to date, I have not been contacted for the DNA sample, and my 18th birthday is coming up on November 15th.
The embassy was informed of the urgency of my case, but I have not heard from them since October 24th. I am concerned that the process will take even longer, and I would like to know if others have experienced a similar delay in their IR2 visa application.
Do you have any advice or experiences to share regarding the processing of IR2 visas in such circumstances?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Why do you think it’s urgent because you’re turning 18? That makes no difference.

I’m sure they’ll be in touch fairly soon, good luck.
