                                                                                                                                     04/9/19   - 15 minutes after checking the USCIS website where no change was listed, it said "Interview was scheduled".  Received email from USCIS later stating "Case Status: Testing & Interview" (438 days)

                                                                                                                                     05/9/19   - received text saying case was updated and to check website 
                                                                                                                                     09/9/19   - received USPS Informed Delivery that USCIS letter would arrive today & it was in the post. Rec'd email from USCIS requesting more info for expedite AP request. Faxed info back immediately. 
                                                                                                                     10/9/19   - rec'd approval for I131 renewal; 18/9-USCIS email "new card ordered"' 21/9 -"Card/Doc Production"; 23/9-2 ltrs in mail from USCIS, card mailed via USPS (text/email notifications for all)

                                                                                                                     17/10/19  - Interview in NYC

We applied for my husband today, received letter that application being reviewed and biometrics can be reused.  Uploaded evidence as well for accounts, some photos, mortgage, taxes, etc.

Applied today! Immediately received receipt notice, biometrics reuse notice, and case status changed to "case is being actively reviewed." Estimated processing time is 7 months, but fingers crossed it's faster than that! 

I-751 has been pending since February.

 

 

Application for Naturalization (tbd, Philadelphia Field Office)

11/18/24: N-400 filed online and USCIS portal predicts 7 months to decision

11/18/24: Received receipt notice; biometrics reuse notice; and case status changed to "case is actively being reviewed"

 

Removal of Conditions (tbd)
2/6/24: I-751 packet shipped via FedEx

2/7/24: Delivered and signed for

2/9/24: Text message with IOE receipt number received at 12:26pm

2/13/24: I-797 48 month extension letter and biometrics reuse letter available online, case updated to "actively being reviewed"

Adjustment of Status (5 months)
9/13/21: AOS packet shipped via FedEx

9/15/21: delivered and signed for

9/17/21: 4 text messages with IOE receipt numbers received at 8:45pm

9/24/21: Received 4 receipt notices in the mail and online access code

9/25/21: Biometrics scheduled for Philadelphia, ASC

10/18/21: Biometrics appointment completed for I-485 and I-765 (Code 3)
10/18/21: After biometrics, I-485 and I-765 case statuses immediately changed to "case is being actively reviewed"

10/28/21: I-693 deficiency notice uploaded online, case status still, "case is being actively reviewed"

12/29/21: Interview scheduled. Contacted Emma agent and they said it is on 2/7/22

2/7/22: I-485 approved

2/12/22: I-797 approval notice received for I-485 and I-130

2/15/22: Green card delivered by USPS

The approximate waiting times are actually reducing right now. Ours was dropped from 7 months to 4 when I checked the status. It's possible that the wait time will. change again, but also possible that it won't. Many people in other filing groups for previous months have gone start to finish in 4-5 months.

Also, don't forget election is over. Fast processing was associated with it. Now it's behind and priorities may change for USCIS.

Hello fellow Nov 2024 filers!

 

I applied online today (19th Nov) and have already had the receipt and biometric reuse. Like many of you, I also have an I-751 pending, which I filed in November 2023.

 

The estimated waiting time was 9 months, although this was for a 5 year residence and I am applying based on 3 years of residence and my marriage to a US citizen, so who knows how long I'll be waiting.

 

Here's hoping we all have quick and efficient processing!

Yes. I've read they are trying to fast-track many straight forward applications for that very reason.

They were, before the election - it always speeds up in an election year. Now it'll presumably go back to the usual pace as it's not a priority.

Agreed, it's possible the new administration will put more effort in reducing backlog of asylum cases and hopefully AOS. I-751s, N-400s will likely get lower priorities.

My guess is that the new administrator will slow everything immigration-related down to nearly a halt. Just like he did last time he was elected. To them is not just about illegal migration.

My AOS in 2019 (Trump) was way faster than I-751 (Biden) in 2021.

I-485 took 8.5 months, I-751 took 20.5 months.

So I guess the mileage may vary. In my opinion only, AOS may get prioritized. This is because outcome of AOS is either approval to stay in the US or removal proceedings.

I think processing times for different forms have always been same throughout time regardless of the rulling party or who's president. I'm not into politics much but I can really see that it doesn't affect much legal immigration. Only slow down I've seen was during covid. I see no difference otherwise. My N400 was processed in 8 months 5 years ago when Trump was president and I see same estimate right now too. Asylum and I751 always take longer than most others
