Lost green card, need to file n400.

Can I avoid filing the I-90? I lost my green card while traveling, before we filed ROC. We filed the card as lost with police and attached a copy of it with our 751.
751 pending and I am now eligible to file n400. If I only include the police report, will I get an RFE for the I-90?

I'm fully ready to file the I-90, however I'm just feeling bummed out that it's gonna be an extra 500 bucks. I know it's my fault so please withhold any judgement. I have already sorrowfully grieved the loss of my green card.

I'd say yes. It's unlikely you're going to get conditional GC issued. Unless you need a I-551 stamp in passport for international travel, you don't need I-90. Just be prepared to wait for N-400 decision for longer with new administration and elections behind. If you can live without GC for a year, no need to file I-90. If you need more freedom in movement, I'd file I-90. You don't know when exactly I-751 will be approved or you naturalize.

Oh I already have the ADIT stamp (but not in my passport) and just came back from Europe some weeks ago with no issues. It expires march 2025 so I'll definitely just contact USCIS for a new one then. Thank you so much for your reply, it is very reassuring, these fees are so high already and I'm not keen on filing the I-90, I mean I'll do it if I HAVE to.

I'll keep your answer in mind but will send a message and/or call USCIS as well. Our case has been pretty straightforward and I'm not looking to get an RFE for the N400.
