You are posting in the K3 forum but haven't filed an I-129F. The new instructions from July 30 forward were to file both petitions together directly with either the California or Vermont Service Center. Where have you been?

this is making me a little panicky... whats happening?? i havent heard of that before.. can u send me the link please telling that i need to file both petitions together directly to csc or vsc? ive read a multiple times from USCIS website on what to do with the I-130 form.. and now we're just waiting for the NOA before we can send the I129f packet... im really confused... please enlighten me up.. tell me more info that i dont know of regarding this.... im in texas right now why ive sent the packet to TSC... do i have to redo everything???

There has been a lot of changes the past few weeks. Try to search on here or go a few pages back on the topics, but most of it has to do with the new fees that started July 30th. When they changed the fees, they moved a lot of stuff around and now the I-129F, there is no charge when filed with the I-130. Then of course you pay up the difference when you do your AOS. If you are ever in doubt just ask here because so many people are very helpful and will support you for your journey. Good Luck!

Hello, we will begin the process of K-3 on Monday, by submitting our I-130 petition to the California service center. I was reading the posts above, and it seemed as if you are to send both the I-130 and I-129F together, but when I read the link provided, I did not read it as such. So now, I am confused! Is it correct that both petitions are filed at separate times? First I-130, then after NOA 1, I-129 is sent to the same address used for I-130. Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.

You file them together, in the same envelope, with one fee, at the California Service Center. This press release doesn't address the specific situation. I don't recall if there is another one that does. It is just common sense to put them together since there is no need to wait, and they both will be at the same place.

yeah i guess, we have to consider holding on to our I129 packet first and wait a lil while for the CR1 visa to push through... could save us some money and maybe more time in the future by not going through all that adjustment process.... if thats the case that they're holding on to the I130 if you file the I129F at once... maybe its good if we wait a little more...

hope the CR1 kicks butt....

ask for a supervisor, and try calling several times for a couple of days

Hi everyone,

I filed my I-130 seperatly right before the fee change. I was unaware that I could send both together as well, but hopefully everything will work out. I'm trying to be patient. Only thing is, it's been three weeks now and the money order I sent still hasn't been cashed. I know there was probably many submissions before the fee change and hopefully USCIS is just busy. But if we're going to start an august filers thread sign me up
