Does anyone have any updates or know the young man that was recently kidnapped in Mindanao Region? Reports are it was an inside job and not ABU Sayaff or other Muslim factions in the area. I heard they put him on a boat I hope he didn't end up in the Julu Solo area.

He was certainly in an area where common sense would dictate that he should not have been in, and he was maintaining a very high profile there.  I don't want to blame the victim and nothing justifies what happened but he showed stunningly poor judgment.  I wish him well but the fact that no ransom or any other demands have been made so far does not bode well for his fate.  At least maybe it will remind certain types that kidnapping Americans is generally not a profitable endeavor.

I am thinking his youth and being young and probably thinking he was bullet proof lead to him living in that area.  He was also shot in the leg, I hope he doens't get like gang green or infection that lead to a fatality.   I hope he survives but I think the odd are not in his favor.
