Good Day to Everybody Hello ,

I'm just kind of very aware and alarm that there is a lot of cases here. That they are very concern about to have and get a police clearance overseas espicially if they worked overseas like me and i noticed and i understand also that this is the one of the major requirements of the home land security if you are applying for a K1 FIANCEE VISA, right now i post my big questions on my mind hoping that somebody somewhere out there share there ideas and experiences , knowledge advices regarding this matter ? do i need to start securing also my police clearance ?WHERE DO I START TO GET MY POLICE CLEARANCE IN STATE OF KUWAIT COUNTRY or in MANILA KUWAIT CONSULATE HERE IN THE PHILIPPINES! My big question is the latest year i been working with is in state of kuwait which is i signed my 2 years contract but i decided to take my vacation and not coming back again for worked since we start the application for KI and i'm here in the phillippines right now for good waiting for my approval of I-129 .I start working in my company last APRIL 12,2006 to FEBRUARY 10,2007 ( thats only 10 months ) supposed to be i worked 2 years but i did not finish my contract to my company, I start talking to my friends about the police clearance in kuwait since i read a lot of topics here about securing a police clearance ! But they said how we can do that i think they need your finger prints personally do i need to fly back to the kuwait just to apply a police clearance ,when i arrive in kuwait our company LAISSON OFFICER We go to the police department and took my finger prints in there that was the whole processs my company does before you can have your resident working visa because that is also one of the major requirements before the state of kuwait government release your working visa and thats the whole proces,my company does ,so means to say i have already my finger prints in the said country of kuwait what do think about this can i apply my police clearance in kuwait consulate embassy philippines here? .....

GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR RESPONSE I COUNT ON YOU.....

The US Embassy in Manila requires that you should obtain a Police Clearance from any country outside the Philippines where you resided for more than 6 months and you worked there for 10 months so it is considered that you have resided there during that period so you MUST obtain a police clearance.

Myla worked in Malaysia for 3 years so she obtained a police clearance from the Malaysian Embassy in Manila. My suggestion is call the Kuwait Consulate in Manila and ask them how you can obtain a Police clearance. My Myla lives in Mindanao so she called the Malaysian Embassy in Manila and inquired about it after which she had to send three sets of photocopied documents to the Malaysian Embassy . Her Police Clearance was ready for pick up after one month.

I hope this helps. Goodluck :innocent:

you have two options to get the Police Clearance in Kuwait.

Option 1 - You can ask one of your close friend there to settle it for you. You just need to send a letter requesting this document. Attached necessary docs such as visa copy or national ID that specifies your residence permit in that country. THen , send a money for the fee. YOu can give an extra for your friend too.

Option 2 - YOu can coordinate directly with the Philippine Embassy in Kuwait. Just send the same set of documents in Option 1.

Option 1 can be faSTER as compared to option 2, just be sure that the person whom you're going to give an authority is really trustworthy to handle such responsibility.

You dont need to travel to Kuwait again to settle this clearance. You're case is not much different with other Filipinas who weren't able to finish work contract because of such kind of US VIsa Application .

goodluck!

hi pineapple,

im from middle east too..thats why i have an idea how things work there..

anyway, try to call Kuwait Embassy here , try to get some idea there first..but assess them carefully if they can help you out with this...dont forget to consider the time..

as what ive heard from the news, its not that easy to go in kuwait embassy here..since their office is inside a private subdivision.the embassy itself doesnt allowed visitors without their name on the list given to the guard.

you might have a hard time following-up wiht your document if you will just comply on phone calls...

goodluck!

Hi all, I've worked in Kuwait too, but State of Kuwait wont issue a POLICE CLEARANCE if you are NOT personally present in their country. This country is included to the PC exemption from the US embassy list.

Embassy did not ask for it from me during my interview. Unless there are changes for it.

I was like you worrying about it before so to satisfy myself that PC from Kuwait is not needed when you are here in PI, I emailed the consulate in Manila Embassy and they replied that this country is exempted for PC. Try to email them too and they will reply within 48 hours.

Hope that helps and ease your worries.

Additionally to support my answer here:

http://travel.state.gov/visa/reciprocity/C...er/K/Kuwait.htm

POLICE RECORD

Police records are available for persons resident in Kuwait. Individuals must be physically present in Kuwait and either be Kuwaiti citizens or hold a valid residence visa to apply for a police certificate. Police records are not available for periods of residence prior to May 1991, due to the destruction of these records during Iraq's invasion of Kuwait. Information on criminal activity, including police records, is not available from Kuwaiti embassies abroad. To obtain a police record, individuals must apply in person and provide fingerprints at the Ministry of Interior, General Department for Criminal Investigation. Police certificates generally take seven to ten days to process.

So do not worry girl, I had my interview last May. The consul just told me that ohh you worked in Kuwait then I said yes.

You know what I did that time? I printed the email from the USE manila in response to my query about acquiring police certificate from Kuwait so just in case the pre-interviewer ask for that I will give the EMbassy employee reply but they did not ask.

Relax, you will make it. GOOD LUCK!

You are welcome Pineapple, Like you I was worried too before coz I only stayed in Kuwait for a year and did not finish my contract. heheheeh =)

You are right Alexandra, that is why I suggested to email the USE Manila like what I did so just in case they will ask her for PC she can present the printed email response from the USE. They might change the procedure after I had my interview on May who knows. So better check from them.

Here is the email addy consivmanila@state.gov I get the reply from them within 2 days when I inquired. I couldn't find the PC steps for Dubai so you might add it to your query too pineapple and they will give an accurate answer.

If you have your Manila Case Number you can also call their local number which I did and talked to the very accommodating Lorraine. Using Smart Cellphone 528-6300 ext. 5184 or 5185 the tip here is: call between 8 am to 9 am so that you will be able to speak with a live person. Though, they will tell you next time to call their call center number still they will assist you on your query. They will ask for your Manila Case Number and what do you want to inquire about. That's what I did when I asked for my Interview Sched because their website was not working. Lorraine also advise me to take an advance medical as soon as I get the Packet 4 to avoid any delay for interview if there is health problem.

You're welcome Pineapple and thank you so much too. I wonder why your name is pineapple is it your fave fruit or your from Davao where pineap[le farms are? If you have questions you can post it here and everyone would be willing to help you out.

Good Luck to your and alexandra for your upcoming interviews. It's easy and don't get so tense. Take a deep breath before talking to the pre-interviewer and stepping inside the CO's office it helps you not to feel nervous. Besides, you will feel it just on the start and when you start talking to them you'll be fine.
