Should I apply for N400 during divorce?

I live in Florida. I have been married to a US citizen for more than 10 years. My wive filed for divorce a few months back. She also got an injunction of domestic violence against me :-(

I have a GC. I never applied for N400 before. I started wondering if it would be a good idea to apply for citizenship.

Is it going to be a problem if I do apply now and the divorce is finalized before the N400 process is complete?
Is it going to be harder to apply for N400 after divorce?
Is it going to be a problem that I never applied for citizenship when it comes to child custody?

Sorry you're going through divorce.

In your case, applying under general provision of being LPR for 5 years makes more sense and is way safer.

Applying now with divorce on file is a bad idea.

Especially a bad idea with DV involved.
