Lol... If you are not married yet then she is not your wife.

If you have never even met yet, then she is nothing more than a pen pal, you can't be in a relationship with someone you have never even met, that's just desperate.

Sure you can marry her whenever you want, just be prepared to show a lot of proof it's a real marriage as there are already a number of massive red flags.

If you marry her you will not be doing a K1

So you haven't been together 3 months now.. If you've been together 3 months in December that means you would've only started the relationship in September. Not to mention marrying on the first time you see each other, also being a huge red flag. I'd definitely consider spending more time together in person - physical visits, before you file for any type of visa. If you do not, it is a very real possibility that the nature of your relationship will cause issues for your visa journey. There are so many red flags here & USCIS and immigration officers will see that too.

Are you planning to get married on this visit?  Marriage on first visits can lead to questions by the consulates when visa interviews come up, so if you do get married on this visit, plan to make more visits while the petition is processing, and growing the marriage as much as possible.

Good Luck!

meeting my girlfriend for the first time in Ghana .which will be 3 months of us talking and we plan on getting married. I want to know if that’s okay for us to do please ?

I will advise against marrying on first visit. My advice is meet multiple times before getting married, and then petition. Then meet some more during the period of waiting for petition adjudication. USEM embassy in Ghana is tough. Goodluck.

Honestly you can do whatever you want.  The concerns I brought up and were echoed by @nastra30 are related to how things may look to a consulate officer in many countries.  This is often related to the levels of immigration fraud committed in those countries, and experience and stories of others that have gone before you (the beauty of VJ).  So you will already face a higher burden to prove the relationship is bonafide when it comes time for a visa interview.  We are not here to judge your relationship, but to help you understand the hurdles ahead and try to help you lower them as much as possible.  Go and meet, and if things turn out great and there are no big red flags, keep communicating, plan additional visits, and at some point as the relationship grows, get married, and then visit more while your I130 petition is processing.

Good Luck!

Totally agree with all above

take the time to meet and spend quality time getting to know each other and let the relationship develope

take things a little slower / don't make a whirlwind romance decide the rest of your life.

Get to know her AND HER FAMILY (very important)

most of Africa is considered high fraud even when applying for spouse interview

Immigration does not guarantee a visa

US embassy Ghana will look at time spent together,  how fast the Ghanian make commitment  to marry,  how u met,  ages of both

I applaud u in thinking to go for the spouse visa and wishing the best to both of u

BUT do not marry on 1st visit
