I could go out and print off this page of the N-400 to redo it again.

But that'll cost money and time.

Printing 1 page costs money and time?

Seems like a stretch unless you need to take a flight to the nearest printer. Besides, wouldn't the military have facilities with a printer allowing to print 1 page for free? The cost of this is under $1, time debatable but I'd hope not something that requires hours or days.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Nah, man, you don't understand. I've went outside so many times now. I keep reprinting pages because of spelling mistakes, hard-to-read hand writing and answering some fields wrong.

This isn't the first time, second time or even third time I have to reprint.

The paper version asked for addresses from 5 years ago. So I listed some (3).

The online version (for military) is only asking for one (current).

Question:

- Do I need to make it so that both are the same? E.g. only 1 address for both versions.

(Need to file both paper and online by the way.)

Will the USCIS care about the 3 vs. 1 difference between the 2 versions?

The online form is probably designed  as an interactive form in that your answer in one question will dictate what the next question is. The online DS 260 for immigrant visa applications is the same   For example, if your marital status is single never married it’s not going to ask for your spouses details   If you identified as a military personnel application,  this would explain why you are only asked for one address   The paper form has to cover all possibilities and applications have to complete all that is applicable to their situation and use N/A for those that don’t apply

Like other vjers ,, all the person who instructed you on this process

Don’t file both paper and online

The explanation for why the paper asks for more makes sense now.

And as for filing both, I know that people would, under normal circumstances, only need to file 1.

But we were instructed to fill out the online form and bring a physical copy.

Whether both are going to be filed --- I don't know. (We were not given any explanation.)

It could be that the physical copy is only a backup in case someone forgets to do theirs online.

Note: someone is going to take the physical copy from us in Boot Camp. And that someone is also the same person who will be filing the document for us.

Please check .. Do they want a hard copy of the online form or a completed copy of the paper form. Two different things.  Also, you still have to sign it .. be it on paper or online. No matter who actually mails it or presses the send button, you are legally  responsible for its accuracy. Don’t skip that.

Filling out a form. It's asking for my Online Acc. No.

It was my parent who made my account when I was in the process of obtaining a Green Card.

I am now in the States and I am doing my N-400. My parent can't remember the account he used for my immigration (thus I don't have access to it / can't see my Online Acc. No.)

Can I just write N/A?

===

I aready have an Online Acc. No. from my previous application.

Would answering N/A cause a problem?

Probably that is the most correct answer anyways.  Previously it was your parent petitioning you.  So that is their account not yours.  Now you are the one applying so you should open your own account

There was a "Verify my account / identity" on the USCIS website.

I had to answer some questions regarding my last cass (I-130) and put in my passport and GC details.

After verification, USCIS added my old case (from petitioner) to my new account.

+ When I was doing the N400 online, it automatically added (this can't be manually changed too) my OAN to my N400.

tldr:

Verified my account and got my OAN back.

Makes sense. I'll ask them.

Anyway, there's this list.

One for: What to submit online.

Another for: What to bring to the interview.

The website only asked me to submit my Green Card (PDF) and nothing else.

But do you think I need to scan the items from the second (bottom picture, To-Bring) list and upload them too?

Or is that unnecessary?

I’m not familiar with the military application process but I’m assuming the interview will be the same as all of us non military. After the n400 application is approved,  you should get an interview letter which outlines what you need to take with you for the interview. Follow those instructions .. The lower list is the interview requirements

No, do not write in space designated for officer to complete .. They have protocol in place for remote interviews such as yours.
‘Salute !

What about uploading documents?

I already uploaded the documents in the top picture.

Do you think I need to upload the bottom picture too? (Because it's a virtual interview / can't physically bring them)
