I had no job.

I had no income.

I have never been sent any document from the IRS either.

I arrived here 7 months ago in February.

How can you apply for N-400 if you only arrived 7 months ago? Something isn't adding up. You need to be both LPR and married to US citizen for 3 years to apply based on marriage.

Ah, if you’re military that makes sense now. So no tax return has ever been due anyway then - you arrived part way through the 2024 tax year and the return for that won’t be due until next year.

Alright, thank you. I will answer No to this question.

I filled out my N-400 myself: Did I select the right answer? (Box A.)

How about the fields for the Preparer / Interpreter: Do I leave it blank or write "N/A:?

Filling out a form. It's asking for my Online Acc. No.

It was my parent who made my account when I was in the process of obtaining a Green Card.

I am now in the States and I am doing my N-400. My parent can't remember the account he used for my immigration (thus I don't have access to it / can't see my Online Acc. No.)

Can I just write N/A?

===

I aready have an Online Acc. No. from my previous application.

Would answering N/A cause a problem?

No problem

If I don't put in my old OAN, do you think that there would be a higher chance of them requesting more documents from me in the future?

I.e.: They wont see my old documents submitted thru / conntected to my old OAN.

People lose access to their accounts all the time. Also, accounts get deleted automatically after some time of inactivity. I wouldn't worry about this at all.

Currently unemployed.

Should I write "N/A" for Employer or School Address?

And "Unemployed" for Your Occupation?

I plan to write my current home address for the Street Number and Name.

EDIT: picture of the form.

Not sure if you need to write home address in employment / education address if you're unemployed. I'd leave N/A there too.

How do I let them know that I am Unemployed as of now?

- Do I write "N/A" fot Employer or School Name?

- "N/A" for Street Number and Name?

"Unemployed" for Your Occupation?

+

Fill out Date From and Date To?

===

1. I was going to write my home address but my home address isn't a workplace or school.

2. Do I only need to fill out:

- Your Occupation.

- Date From + Date To.

Parts and leave the rest empty?

I thought you said in another thread that you’re in the military, which is how you’re naturalizing so early?

Yes, but we become Active Duty on the day we arrive at Boot Camp (November 4).

The N-400 does not get filed until Boot Camp. The Marines at the Depot (Boot Camp) will collect our files and mail it.

So my plan is to write:

- Date To: last day of being unemployed / day before Boot Camp starts (turns into an Active Duty member).
