Hello looking for some information for my buddy.

 

He got divorced and remarried. His wife has a daughter from a previous boyfriend (not married)

 

The girl is 8 years old.

 

We were looking at the uscis site and cannot figure out the fees associated as well. They were B2 overstays so they have legal entry. They decided they want to wait for the RFE for medical and file right away nearest medical is 2 months away.

 

Our understanding is they file the following for the WIFE

 

 

Documents Relating to I-130 Petition for Alien Relative
1.  Form G-1145 to request notification
2.  I-130 Petition for Alien Relative
3.  Form I-130A
4.  Check for $$$$$ filing fee
5.  Petitioner Birth Certificate front
6.  Petitioner Passport page
7.  Beneficiary foreign passport
8.  Beneficiary Birth certificate in original language
9.  Beneficiary Birth certificate with English translation
10. Passports style pictures for both with name on back
11. Copy of divorce certificate
12. Supporting documents showing bona fide marriage:
a.       Copy of Marriage Certificate
b.       Apartment lease agreement
c.       Health insurance under petitioner
d.       Joint Financials
e.       Proof of Beneficiary as beneficiary on retirement accounts
f.        Three letters of support from friends with licenses
g.       Pictures of couple together with friends and family
i.      Made a power point with 2-3 pics per page with captions

 

Documents Relating to I-485, Application to Adjust Status or Register Permanent Residence

1.    Form G-1145 to request notification
2.    Form I-485, Application to Adjust status or Register Permanent Residence
3.    Copy of Beneficiary’s passport with entry stamp
4.    Copy of Beneficiary’s U.S. Visa, reflecting entry as a tourist
5.    Copy of Form I-94
6.    Copy of Beneficiary’s Birth Certificate in Portuguese
7.    Copy of Beneficiary’s Birth Certificate in English
8.    Check for $$$$ filing and biometrics fee
9.    Form I-864
1.    Petitioner tax return transcripts 2023,2022,2021
2.    Petitioners social security card
3.    Petitioners pay stubs dating six months
10.   Two passport style photos taken November 2020
11.   Copy of beneficiary’s passport

 

 For the Daughter they file

3.    Copy of Beneficiary’s passport with entry stamp

I'm sure he's able to make his own account and post his own questions.

Because I’m the go to in our group of friends. I filed for my wife myself. 
 

I made similar posts for my step sister and for other friends. Just trying to get some help. I know what the mom needs, but wasn’t sure if anything is different with the step daughter.
