Hello,

My husband and I never seem to get the answers we are seeking for from our immigration lawyer so could anyone help us please?

I live in a french terrotory in the south pacific and my husband lives in the U.S.A. We contacted an immigration lawyer who takes care of our file from Paris (there is no U.S. embassy/consulate where I live and he is a native american working in Paris, attorney at law both in the U.S. and France).

7 avril 2007 marriage to my so wonderful american citizen husband.

24 mai 2007 I-130 sent by the lawyer.

19 juin 2007 file received by the immigration services.

27 juin 2007 NOA

Trying to make things move, at least what we have control over, we are trying to get all vaccinations done and getting ready for the medical exam.

I got a list online and I'm working on it with my family doctor.

My three children, 17, 15 and 9 will be moving the the U.S.A. with me.

As I explained above we don't have a U.S embassy/consulate and will have to go either to Fiji or Paris (for both the interview and the medical exam)... which is 22000 kms away!

I would like to know if my children will have to come with me for the interview? And if they will have to go for a medical exam as well?

Thank you for your help.

Christine and John.

YES YES YES !!!

Going to be expensive! Also when you get to the AOS portion you will have to pay for all 4 ... over $4,000 dollars total!

I am i a similiar position... My wife is from the Dominican Republic and we got married in Aruba (No Consulate)... now we need to go to Venezuela with my 5 yo step daughter for the Medical and Interview.

Now the way the rule reads is the Interview and Medical will be where the Marrige took PLACE. If no consulate is there then the Interview will take place in the Embassy that provides for that area (ie Aruba is the Caracas Venezuela Embassy) In your case if Fiji is the controling Embassy for where your Marriage took place then that is where you will go to
