Update: We got an email from USCIS online account say they taking action on a case on last Friday night. We opened up and it was a message say they got our I-751 packet on October 30, 2024 and a receipt number start with IOExxxxxx. And a receipt notice or acceptance letter was sent. I check my bank this morning and the check still have not been cashed yet so I'm very confused and hope nothing wrong.

Wait few more days, if they cashed check on Friday, it may take few days to show in your bank account.

Great, I do have one question. On USCIS site explain how to write the check, I did everything they asked. But they did mention about phone number add on to the check and I did not because I go to my bank and ask the banker and he say phone number is no need on them. My check is a joint check and have both me and my wife name on them. I wonder if they going to reject it because we have no phone number on the check? Also, only me sign the check since the banker say never need 2 signatures since the account is NOT John Doe AND Jane Doe. Our check only say John Doe on top, Jane Doe on the bottom and address below our names. We're really appreciate you for all the helps!

Cannot tell about phone number, I filed AOS long time ago when phone number wasn't the requirement as far as I remember. I don't think your case would be rejected because of that.

As to signatures the banker is right. I have joint accounts and wrote many checks from them. Unless there is AND, either one of the people can sign the check on their own.

USCIS just text my wife half an hour ago that they got the packet and I-797C follow by mail. Even though they already update the case on my wife USCIS online account last Friday. There is no documents inside currently in the online account.

The alerts are usually delayed. Status updates are faster.

You may eventually see an upload of some/part of the package you sent. It seems random, it doesn’t matter. In my case (package received 22 October) they scanned one page. You have a receipt, so whatever happens from now you filed in time. Within a couple of weeks they should issue the extension letter.  For most of us it will be “watch this space” for the next three years or until we file for citizenship!

Thank you so much for your advice.

Update: Check was cashed this morning.
