Juarez medical failed due to marijuana test - what to expect next?

My fiance was denied entry (1 year ban, no required tests) after she failed her medical in Juarez in January. We're approaching the end of that timeline. Needless to say, lessons learned.

I'm having trouble figuring out what is next. We know she needs to retake the medical in Juarez. But beyond that, how do we proceed with the consulate? I know we likely need to re-up on time sensitive info like continued proof of the relationship and her police report.

Do we need to reschedule with the consulate? How do we get her passport to them for the visa assuming all works out?

Many thanks!

Hopefully she was being tested throughout the year so she can go to the 1 year medical exam and pass and then medical office will inform the embassy and reschedule her interview. That seems to be the standard procedure when someone is denied based on using drugs.

We asked the medical center and they said routine testing wasn't necessary. She'll pass no problem this time...again lessons learned. I'm wondering about what's next. How does the reschedule happen and be communicated? What should we plan for?

Thanks!

Hi JaredAndAna my husband went though the same situation one year ago. The blue paper that was given to her shows when she can go back to retake her medical exam in Juarez, just make sure to schedule an appointment at the same office, it takes 2 days for the results to be sent over to the embassy. The medical office will give her papers to take over to the information window over at the embassy and they will tell you there if you need to submit any new documents or if you’ll need a new interview.
