How to apply for foia to get the entire A file(all immigration records)? How long might that take? Any one with personal experience? Thanks (Merged threads)

15 months is pretty normal. My I-751 case took 20.5 months and it was a simple case.

FOIA means your I-751 case will be paused for some time while they're processing the request.

I don't think you have a choice. If you're missing information FOIA can provide, then you should file it. N-400 with wrong information is worse than delay of I-751.

What info are you missing?

Didn't make copies of everything we sent. Also we were given the wrong (10  yr card) despite being married for less than 2 years at time, then filed i90 to get it corrected and never received the correct card and then filed for removal of conditions which has been pending since. Foia seemed like a good idea to get all the records before submitting the n400.

I did not think that was possible

You can certainly file but you get what they send you

What is the issue?
