4/9/07 - Mailed 129-f to CSC

4/10/07 - Received at CSC

4/11/07 - NOA1

8/3/07 - NOA2 116 days

8/6/07 - Touch (notice of approval)

8/21 - Sent to NVC (allegedly)

8/25 - 8/29 - Traveled to Ukraine to see my baby!

8/31 - Actually sent to NVC at 6:27pm (I knew that allegedly was appropriate)

9/7 - Received at NVC (finally), case number assigned!!!

9/11 - Sent by NVC to Kiev!

9/24 - Interview set via phonecall

9/25 - Medical Appt - passed!

11/2 - Interview - APPROVED

AOS/EAD/AP Timeline

12/13 - Civil Marriage Ceremony

4/11/07 - NOA1

8/3/07 - NOA2 116 days

8/6/07 - Touch (notice of approval)

8/21 - Sent to NVC (allegedly)

8/25 - 8/29 - Traveled to Ukraine to see my baby!

8/31 - Actually sent to NVC at 6:27pm (I knew that allegedly was appropriate)

9/7 - Received at NVC (finally), case number assigned!!!

9/11 - Sent by NVC to Kiev!

9/24 - Interview set via phonecall

9/25 - Medical Appt - passed!

11/2 - Interview - APPROVED

18 April 2007--Received NOA1

13 Aug. 2007--Received NOA2

09 Oct. 2007--Medical in London

08 Nov. 2007--Visa Interview & Approved

14 Nov. 2007--Pete receives K1 visa in the mail

21 Nov. 2007-- Pete arrives in the United States (together at last!!)

27 Dec. 2007--Our 3 year anniversary of being engaged

16 Feb. 2008--We were married!!

Hello all, sorry for such a late update but as you might guess our days have been pretty hectic.

First, when we got to the airport in her hometown in Slovakia, the airline representative had never seena K-1 visa and insisted she had to see the paperwork. After a few minutes of me telling her in no uncertain terms that she WOULD NOT open the sealed envelope she finally relented and was somewhat satisfied just to see the sealed envelope.

So, POE. Actually, pretty uneventful. Our POE was JFK, so we could get the work stamp. We waited in line for about 30 minutes, and although I'm a citizen I waited in the immigrant line with her, and it was no problem. We get to the officer and he says "Hmm, I've heard of these visas, you're in for a long day". I'm not sure if he was trying to be funny or what but he really scared my fiancee' with that comment. I kept telling her I've never heard of this being a long day but she still was very worried. We were in line with him for about 5 minutes then we went into the "little room" where there were about 20 people waiting with different visas. After another 20 minutes, they called her name, and we both went and got her paperwork, he said all that's left is getting married, he also said in case you want to work I've given you a work stamp and we were on our way. We had four hours between flights which was more than enough.

Since then we've been running around like crazy getting her settled, setting wedding date, looking at rings, etc... Finally we're together so all the other tasks we need to do aren't nearly as bad when she's with me while we do them.

Ah, such a long, somewhat painful journey but now that she's here it was worth it.

Congrats to all who have completed the process, good luck to those who are nearly complete. You're almost there!

Alan got his notice from the Dublin embassy today in regards to the interview. It's no longer 'tentative' it's ALL real. He's scheduled for next Friday, December 7. :dance: oh happy day!

August 22, 2007 - called USCIS and found out we were APPROVED on August 18, 2007

September 12, 2007 - Left NVC on it's way to Dublin! WAHOOOO!
