Pick up visa Friday and POE Saturday!

Didn't even ask us any questions - just looked at our forms and told us we're approved and to come back tomorrow . Only comment was to compliment us on our organization and to say that if everyone was that organized, things would go much quicker.

Pick up visa Friday and POE Saturday!

Wow congrats!! So the Japan consulate is really dang efficient!! :thumbs: And Yuibi's interview is just one day before mine!! Yay!! :dance: So happy for you, at least the time wasted at CSC didn't really delay anything much, good for you guys!! :D

I KNOW! I've been so shocked and pleasantly surprised by how efficient the Japanese embassy has been. Yuibi sent everything back right away and got responses the next day. The only wait at all was after faxing packet 3 because it was the weekend. The form for the interview didn't even have a place for a date to request- so he just wrote in the margin that he wanted that to be his interview date! I'm shocked they accepted his request!

Congratulations on your progress, everyone!

I have 3 weeks to go before my interview, can't wait already! Scheduled medical, expecting financial forms from my fiance. Still haven't started on filling all the other forms and collecting evidence but I'm such a procrastinator. I know I'll do everything on the last day. :)

02/19/2008 AOS package mailed

09/30/2008 AOS interview - APPROVED!

10/11/2008 Green card in the mail

01/14/2009 Our little girl, Fiona Elizabeth, was born on Jan. 14, 2009 :-)

We delievered packet 3 to the embassy about 2 weeks ago. Shame it takes over 2 months to get packet 4 and another month after that until the interview... we're hoping she can get here before christmas. I'll be taking another trip over later this month to see her... waiting sucks.

2-22-08 - I-485 rev'd

2-27-08 - NOA1

3-17-09 - Transferred to Cali.

4-12-08 - Biometrics

4-22-08 - Touch

4-28-08 - EAD received.

...waiting...

3-04-09 - Had to renew the EAD :(

3-04-09 - Got annoyed at being outside of the processing window

3-04-09 - Called and they confirmed. Will contact me within 45 days.

3-05-09 - Date on the EAD NOA1

3-12-09 - Received a confirmation email that I am outside of the window and will get a decision in 60 days.

3-12-09 - TOUCH!!!

3-27-09 - Touch!

5-09-09 - Randomly received the renewed EAD Card... w/ wrong A# :(.

Just wanted to update our situation here. My Fiance just had her interview in the London Embassy, Everything went well and the worst part is over. It took exactly 6 months from the day we sent our petition. She will be coming home within the next two weeks.

Congratulations, that's fantastic!!!

A quick update on my deal, I tried to get my interview moved up via my congressman, unfortunately we were denied yesterday. Nonetheless, it is exactly four weeks from today until her interview. She received the interview materials from me today via DHL, so everything is set. Now if I can just make it a few more weeks...

8/6/07 - Touch (notice of approval)

8/25 - 8/29 - Traveled to Ukraine to see my baby!

8/31 - Actually sent to NVC at 6:27pm (I knew that allegedly was appropriate)

9/7 - Received at NVC (finally), case number assigned!!!

9/11 - Sent by NVC to Kiev!

9/24 - Interview set via phonecall

9/25 - Medical Appt - passed!

11/2 - Interview - APPROVED

Congrats to everyone who has finished their K1 journey! Our packet 3 is being sent back tomorrow, the medical is booked for two weeks today and fingers crossed the actual interview will be very very soon :thumbs:
