Got interview date from the embassy website! What a nice birthday present. :)

BTW as I had predicted, the interviews are scheduled faster now because of, apparently, fewer people in line for them after the April-July bottlenecks at USCIS.

Our case was mailed to Moscow on 08/30/07. I called the embassy today - paid $12.00 and was told that they can see our case in their database in electronic form, but cannot tell me if the actual paper case already there. Do they wire cases to Moscow embassy electronically in addition to mailing them? I never heard about it.

I believe they do both to all Embassies. As I understand it, they will not schedule however until the have the hard copy.

How long on the average does it take for petitions to get to Moscow embassy from NVC? If they use DHL it should only be 3-4 days, however, some people's timelines say 8-10 days...

You know, it seems that these dates bounce all over the place, and it is hard to imagine what on earth really happens.

I know that they wait and send them in batches. They will not just send a single petition. My guess would be that it should be there within 2 weeks. I have seen a few that went longer than 20 days, but that seems like the exception. I also see that there must be more movement of petitions to other countries, and that the ones moving to others are just flat out slower to get there. The Embassy also needs time to check in the petition and I know that in my case Kyiv typically takes about a week or so after they get it.

So, I know I probably didn't answer your question, but I would think it should be there soon. My case is still sitting at NVC after 17 days (completely processed and in the mailroom) and it's like deja vu all over again with CSC. I'm seriously beginning to think that calling them often (I haven't done that) or requesting a congressional somewhere during the entire process (I have done that) really angers them. There is no way to know for certain, but after watching others and now myself, I am really beginning to believe that. NVC says it can take 2-4 weeks to ship a case, I guess I'm destined for the 4 weeks.

Praise Jebus :innocent: I finally made it to NVC. After 116 days waiting for my NOA2, it only took 36 days to make it from CSC to NVC, but on day 152 I feel amazing!!! All sarcasm and joking aside (hope no one takes offence to the Homer Simpson saying) I am absolutely stoked, I actually have my case number that I can use to get an appointment. I am going to call Monday and see if the call center will give me one without the embassy actually having the physical petition. I've been told this is possible so why not give it a shot. Anyway, have a great weekend and to all a speedy journey...

Congratulations Deron on finally making it to NVC!!!

Mel called yesterday and found out that they had already gotten it and sent it out to the Barbados Embassy. She was so excited that she forgot to ask when they received it or what the new case number is and with all the frustrations we get when trying to call, I've decided to check with the embassy next Friday. This is such a relief!!!

Thanks Daniel, I appreciate it. It feels good to finally be at this point. It's been a long haul so far, and each time we are right before an approval, it's our most difficult times. This one was a welcome relief, finally only one more to go! Good luck with your embassy inquiry, I hope you get a speedy appointment and a easy approval....

Have a great weekend!
