For what it's worth, here's a little info.

Approved Aug 20

touched Aug 23

touched Aug 24

touched Aug 28

touched Aug 29

WOW !!!..............SOOOOOO many touches..........haven't seen or heard of so many for anyone else !!

Obviously, I'm hoping to be one of the lucky ones that got mailed out within 8 or 9 days of approval.

All this activity MIGHT mean CSC is getting their act together. Let's hope so..... B)

I had the same thing happen on approval, touched August 6,7,8,9,10. I was hoping it meant it was boxed and sent to NVC...wishful thinking at the time.

Rambaldi, I called again today and I was told that they contract the shipping out and that the system wouldn't say when mine was shipped. Funny, they said I had been shipped out when I called yesterday, I just forgot to ask when. Anyway, the guy is getting a supervisor to call the contractor and then call me back (fingers crossed, hope absent...). NVC says 2-4 weeks, I said it's been 29 days...do something....sorry, you just have to wait. My Congressman's visa gal is on vacation this week so Tuesday is the earliest I can hope for anything. Only a month and a day after approval...ludicrious. I'm so happy I got to see my sweetie this week, I'd be irate otherwise, especially seeing people approved well after me already on their way to the embassy. If I had applied two weeks sooner I'd be within weeks of seeing my honey, now it looks like months if everything goes great from here on out.

On a happier note, I hope everyone has a great long weekend. No matter what else is going on in our lives, the visa process alone makes us deserve this as much as anyone. Take care all...

Deron, hang in there. Maybe your case has already been received and sent to the embassy before you know it. At least you got to see your sweetie! Makes it all better doesn't it? ;)

WHEW!! Finally we're through. Our case was mailed to the Embassy on the 28th!! :)

No interview date on the embassy site though. More waiting.

Congrats Blues Fairy!! :)

Come on NVC, I wanna see more for our April filers!! :jest: Come on come on!

To give an update on our situation.

The morning after I went to my congressman's office the lady in charge of immigration issues called me back and said that she had talked to people at CSC and NVC and said that the people at NVC said that it was 'typical' for CSC to take so long. However, she also told me that since she talked to them they should sent it out immediately and if it is not received by Wednesday (a week from the day she talked to me) then I should call her again to get it taken care of.

I called on Friday and was told it still wasn't at the NVC. The waiting is killing me. Over a month and its still not received (or sent!)! It's absolutely outrageous! I can only pray that once it gets to the NVC everything goes quick and painlessly. We have really been hoping for a November wedding but with all of the things that have happened it seems bleaker and bleaker with every passing day. :(

That sucks! i wonder why it took your case too long to be sent to NVC. a month already! i just hope CSC will send it out this week. It's really difficult to plan wedding stuffs when we're not definite about certain things - especially this process. Well, just keep on hanging on! I'll pray for the rest of the april filers as well!

I have a question for everyone... Have you already sent all the documents on to your fiance? If so, how did you package it? I am using a 2in binder and page protectors, but I am wondering... if he is going to have to mail most of that stuff in with the packet 3, won't he just have to pull it all apart anyways? What do they even ask for with the packet 3, or is it different at every embassy? we are using Frankfurt.

As I understand it, they MUST have the petition physically in hand prior to setting the appointment. That is from the Embassy Website. Do you know something I don't?

It would be nice to be able to make it however.

I was told by someone right before us to call Kyiv as soon as you have the number. Until March, when they used to set appointments themselves, they would check to make sure they had the physical app first. Now with the call center I believe they can't check and that a KEV# is all you need. That's the info I was given from what seemed like a reputable source...

Hope that helps.

Well, my fiancee was here in the states recently and i just gave her all the paperwork to take with her. But as far as i know, your partner doesn't need it for packet 3, he/she only needs that stuff for the interview. As far as KEV# or FRN# it has everything to do with your country, as mine was LND for London, so its normal.

Good Luck!

Ah, progress. I called NVC and talked to a very nice man named Max, and he said they received our case on August 31st, but it had not yet been sent to the consolate. Although, this isn't surprising, since they got it Friday and today was the first working day to process it. Another step completed!

Oh, they shipped our case from CSC on August 28th, so if it was sent about that time you should be able to call and verify it had gotten there, in case you haven't done that yet. Good luck all.

Oh, I love updating my timeline!

That's great news jessel chris! We haven't got our NVC letter yet but we already know our case # from NVC's email reply. You can check your interview schedule here and you need to use the MNL case #. I believe it will be released a few weeks after USEM receives your case. I hope we'll have same interview dates! :)
