April Filers - NVC to Interview

FINALLY!! My fiance just called NVC and after 5 tries, they told him that our case has been sent to the Singapore consulate yesterday!!! FINALLY!! YAY!!

Does that mean NVC has received our case last week? Oh well, my fiance, after getting the answer he wanted, didn't even bother to ask, and also didn't ask about our new embassy case number!!! gee... Will the new case number be on the hard copy of the NVC letter?

Nevertheless....I'm so happy right now!! :D GO APRIL FILERS GO!!

We were approved on the same day so I'd really like to believe our petitions were received at the same time and NVC is just lying to us about our cases not being there 8D If I can EVER get through (been trying for 30 minutes now) at NVC I'm hoping to get an answer.

I went to my Congressman's office this afternoon and told them about the situation (a petition in a mailroom is ridiculous) and they had me sign a permission slip to get information on my case and said they would find out and whats going on and do what they could then call me tomorrow. So hopefully I'll have some good news tomorrow.

Cassandra, I got my fiance to call NVC again just now, and they told him that they received our petition from CSC on the 23rd, and sent it out yesterday. We got our new case number and the hard copy of the NVC letter is on its way too.

I really wonder what's up with yours, so sorry to hear about that. I already thought that our situation was ridiculous already, it took NVC more than 3 weeks to receive it, but yours is worse!! Hope you get good news from your congressman's office tomorrow!! Best of luck!!

I haven't heard anything since my NOAII so i'm going to call around tomorrow i guess. I was hoping to have her here this year for the holidays, but the CSC killed that so now the pressure is off and i'll just wait till early next year. *shrug*

i think we got the same date for NOA2.i'm pretty sure they received your case already.my Fiance keep on calling the NVC,(press 1 and 5, kinda sux cuz it takes a long time to wait before u can connect to the live person )and finally they said they got our case, and assigned a new case number...Goodluck to all of us here

Well I called CSC after hearing that NVC hadn't received anything and they told me that they mailed it off on the 27th... only 17 days after I got my approval... it makes me mad knowing that they take the longest part of our time, to do the smallest part of the process.. grrr.. at least I am finally away from them... AND one more thing, the NVC automated response system doesn't work for K1s! My fiance tried initially and it said no record of our case found.

Hi rambaldi...We forgot to ask them if they sent our case to the Embassy thats why i have'nt updated my timeline.

My Fiance's trying to call again the NVC by Monday regarding our case if its is already sent in Manila or still with 'em... but the NVC said that it wont take that long.hopefully they already sent it. have you tried using IV Schedule

Yesterday my fiancee received in the mail the NVC letter stating case number. Hope to have my interview schedule soon. Thank's God. To my fellow April filers good luck to all of us guys.

I still haven't heard anything from NVC, but my fiance got a letter yesterday from the American embassy in The Netherlands stating, "This office is pleased to inform you that it can begin to process your fiance visa case."

I emailed NVC last august 15 and they just replied today. And we've never been lucky in calling them. i'm so happy now, it says that they've forwarded our case to the US embassy and also got our new case number! yipee!!! So I'll be expecting to get the NVC letter soon too.

Velmark, I feel we'll have same interview dates! Good luck to the rest. I'm sure you'll be hearing from NVC soon.

Welcome back rambaldi. I was trying to follow in your footsteps with the original April thread. I just lost interest in anything but post-NOA2 info, that's four months I'm glad are behind me.

To find my congressman I just did a google search. After I found his website, I called his local office and just told them the issue. They gave me there visa person and within no time the wheels were turning. I'm just upset I didn't call earlier. I actually did write the main email center of the Congressman early in the process, but I never got a response.

Hehe Deron I actually thought of creating an NVC to Interview thread too, but I'm glad you did it first!

You're lucky you got a sympathetic visa person. So have you called the NVC after your call to your congressman? Does NVC have your petition now?

I just went over to visit my girl so I didn't try again until yesterday. As of then it still hadn't been received. Ridiculous.
