Hey Everyone!

Silly question...On tuesday I replied to packet 3. Wednesday I get an email from the embassy saying that they needed some additional papers before scheduling the interview, I dropped off the additional papers that same day...and now I'm waiting :clock:

How are you notified of the interview date? Do they send you a letter or an email? or both? how long does it ussualy take?

Saludos,

Caro

You might have better luck with those questions in the Embassy or Regional forums. Every Embassy is going to be somewhat different.

Well I guess I got my question answered because...I got an email from the embassy today

:dance:WE HAVE OUR INTERVIEW SCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY!!!!!

Now if you all will excuse me, I think I need to go die from excessive happiness now :P

Hi everyone,

Received my NOA2 "Hard Copy" via snail mail today. It specifically states that "we have sent the original visa petition to the Department of State National Visa Center (NVC).

My question is.........is this a typical NOA2 letter?..........do they all state the above text??. My guess is that this is a standard form letter, and does not necessarily mean the file has been "Sent" or mailed to NVC.

Got the approval via RFE trick phone call (no status or profile updates on their website).

The customer rep. said it was approved on the 20th of Aug. And now i have the hard copy to confirm this info.

Obviously, I'm curious if i can relax now and assume (based on the above letter) that my file is now in transit to NVC.?

You're right about the wait...it blows. One thing for certain, I'm glad I'm not a late July filer. If the mailrooms are this slow just sending out petitions, it must be a mess with the receiving end as well. It's going to be like the H-1B fiasco in April all over again.

Just called NVC and was told they still haven't received our case. :crying: I guess I'll call CSC (with the RFE trick) tomorrow morning and hope I can get some answers. :/ If not I'll have to call my congressman because I think it's just disgusting that it takes CSC so long to approve us and THEN they shove all of our petition in a mailroom for a month and leave all of us in limbo.

Cassandra, I'm so sorry to hear that. Do call CSC and find out when it left. I'm certain it has to be on it's way by now. If you don't get results, go ahead and get to work on that congressional

After about 7 tries I got through to NVC and now Have my KEV Number for the Embassy. It was received on the 22nd, giving it a 5 day transit time from CSC. It is still at NVC however, I'll call later in the week and hope that it is on it's way to Kyiv. The VJ average for NVC processing is listed at 8 days.
