April Filers - NVC to Interview

The April forum is getting quite large and the majority is centered around waiting for the NOA2, touches, RFE's, processing times, and the like. For those who have received their NOA2, let's use this as a forum to discuss NVC, getting the interview date, and the final showdown. March filers did a similar forum and it's quite useful.

As for me I'm still not at NVC, nor are most people recently approved as far as I can tell according to the expanded immigration timelines. According to CSC today my application had left the reviewer and was now in the staging area. I think that most of us approved in the last week or so are sitting in the same staging area. Hopefully it will get sent to NVC today and next week we can get the new case number that allows us to set an interview.

4/9/07 - Mailed 129-f to CSC

4/10/07 - Received at CSC

4/11/07 - NOA1

8/3/07 - NOA2 116 days

8/6/07 - Touch (notice of approval)

8/21 - Sent to NVC (allegedly)

8/25 - 8/29 - Traveled to Ukraine to see my baby!

8/31 - Actually sent to NVC at 6:27pm (I knew that allegedly was appropriate)

9/7 - Received at NVC (finally), case number assigned!!!

9/11 - Sent by NVC to Kiev!

9/24 - Interview set via phonecall

9/25 - Medical Appt - passed!

11/2 - Interview - APPROVED

AOS/EAD/AP Timeline

12/13 - Civil Marriage Ceremony

1/29 - Mailed AOS, EAD, AP

2/4 - NOA1

3/20 - EAD and AP approved

5/10 - Wedding Ceremony

5/27 - AOS Interview - APPROVED

How do you tell if your status at the NVC? is there a website to visit like the USCIS?

2-22-08 - I-485 rev'd

2-27-08 - NOA1

3-17-09 - Transferred to Cali.

4-12-08 - Biometrics

4-22-08 - Touch

4-28-08 - EAD received.

...waiting...

3-04-09 - Had to renew the EAD :(

3-04-09 - Got annoyed at being outside of the processing window

3-04-09 - Called and they confirmed. Will contact me within 45 days.

3-05-09 - Date on the EAD NOA1

3-12-09 - Received a confirmation email that I am outside of the window and will get a decision in 60 days.

3-12-09 - TOUCH!!!

3-27-09 - Touch!

5-09-09 - Randomly received the renewed EAD Card... w/ wrong A# :(.

I was going to start a thread exactly like this, So i'm glad you did. Great idea to get through the next step. I'm with both of you, still waiting for the NVC letter. I called at the end of the first week, Not there yet. I called at the end of the second week, Not there yet. From what i have gathered, it takes anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks to get to NVC, So its nice to start seeing April filers get through to NVC.

Congrats on Packet 3, hopefully you will get a quick interview date as well.

As to the question about a NVC website, they have none. You also will not get touches in the process, the only way to find out if you've been received/sent is to call. The number is on the K-1 Flowchart in the Guides section. Hit #1 then #5 to get an operator. They are generally nice and helpful as compared to USCIS.

Actually I post my reply earlier and didn't know that my fiance received the NVC letter few hours later......The case number was there and it says that they will send the case to US Embassy here in Philippines........to those who are waiting.......a little bit patience...we'll all go to the end of the tunnel...... ;)

We received letter from NVC, stating that they had received our approved petition and would forward it to US Embassy in Jakarta - Indonesia within a week.

K1 Timeline:

03/31/07 --- Sent I-129F to NSC

04/06/07 --- NOA1 (from CSC)

04/11/07 --- Check cashed

07/19/07 --- NOA2 (104 days after NOA1)

08/08/07 --- NVC sent petition to Embassy in Jakarta

08/14/07 --- Package 3 received via email

09/21/07 --- Package 3 returned to Embassy

10/02/07 --- INTERVIEW!!!

Exactly 14 days for your hardcopy to arrive after NOA2. Not too shabby. That would mean they had it probably within 10 days at the most. I'd be interested in knowing when they send to Manila to judge that timeline.

We hope we're not too far behind. Deron I'm really wanting to know when yours gets the interview, are you calling or is she?
